Friday Night Pizza

Dinner

Friday nights in this house tend to be pizza nights. Tonight was no exception.

I’m not sure how easy it is to tell, but it’s a pretty good-sized piece of pizza!  Costco is the best.

I definitely had another piece.  Obviously.

Oh and we had a small salad too.  We’ve been bored with salad, but we haven’t had it in a while so it was nice to have today.

We had a really nice red wine also.  It was a blend and very mellow.  I’m not usually a big red wine fan, so I was happy to really enjoy this one.

Oh, I also ate his crust.  I always eat his crust.  Shhh…

Workout

Today was a rest day (minus abs/push-ups and giving the girls a ballet type class today).  I’m running a 22 miler tomorrow so rest is my bff.  I’m meeting my daddy at the beach at 7:30 for it.  It’s my LAST long run before taper!  WOOHOO!!!!

Christmas Card

I’m working on our Christmas card today.  It’s pretty exciting to be doing our own this year.  🙂

I knew I wanted a wedding picture on it, and then today we also took a picture with Oakley.

 

It’s not the best picture, but Oakley was already getting annoyed at us for waking her up.

Now the question is how to do the card.  I’ve already decided on Costco because it seems to be the cheapest option, but I can’t decide if I want to use one of their templates or create my own card on PicMonkey and then upload the image onto a blank template.  I like that last option, but it’s hard to tell from Costco’s website if the end result will be blurry or not.

I’ll have to keep playing with it.

2nd Day of Summer

The 2nd day of summer has been just as nice as the first, except there will be no pool time today.  I got up at 7:30 and went for my usual Tuesday 3.5 mile run.  Thankfully it wasn’t as bad as yesterday –  my body seems to be recovering from the weekend’s shenanigans.  🙂  When I got back, I showered, did a couple little chores, and then had my usual cottage cheese breakfast.  I just can’t eat immediately after a run, no matter how short it is.  I need to get cleaned up and get some little annoying things out of the way first.  Plus, my stomach often can’t handle much more than water.  This is especially true after those long Saturday runs.

As I ate, I browsed homes for sale for a bit and then when Mat got back from the gym we made a quick trip to Costco to get gas in Mat’s car as well as coffee beans, cottage cheese, and some really good whole grain bread to go with our leftovers tonight.

I love that at Costco you can get 2 big loaves for only $5.  I’m planning to slice and freeze one loaf for later and have the other one with dinner the next couple of nights.  It’s so yummy too – the whole-grain one has a great nutty flavor that is perfect without toasting.  We also still have quite a bit of Mat’s mom’s homemade strawberry and blackberry/raspberry jams in the fridge that I’m sure we’ll use on it.

This afternoon we’re going to meet with our pastor to finalize the ceremony and then go to a music rehearsal for our ceremony music.  It’s almost here!

Countdown: 10 days until our wedding!!!
