Dancing for Food

Overcoming the ballet body image.

Post-Half Marathon

We are tired.  And sore.  And stiff.  Our digestive systems were not happy with us today.  Several days (possibly a week) off from running is required.  Not just for the body, but for the mind (especially in my case).

We still plan to exercise this week, but much milder.  Tomorrow is a total rest day.  Tuesday and the rest of the week we’ll take as they come.  Perhaps some gentle walking or biking, some upper body weights (something I’ve wanted to start working on), etc.  We’ll see.

After a race, it seems that burgers are craved.  But since we don’t eat meat, Boca Burgers was the perfect solution.  And salad.  With bbq and ranch.  YUM!

I had two slices of American cheese (don’t judge) and lots of ketchup on mine.  It was on a sandwich thin, not a bun, so it’s totally ok to have loads of ketchup and cheese.

After dinner?  More TV and this delicious thing:

And yes, I totally put that away.

Right before we plopped on the couch though, we wrapped Mat’s knees and ankle with ice.

Poor baby!

One more episode of Boy Meets World and then it’s early bedtime.  We’ve got a long week ahead of us!
