Brussels Sprout Spaghetti

Isn’t it weird that brussels sprouts is spelled like that and not brussel?  I think it’s weird.

We bought those lovely little cabbages a week ago and then discovered them in the fridge – we forgot to eat them!  Luckily, because they were in one of those steam in a bag things, they were still perfectly good.  I had the brilliant idea to sauté them and then add them to a jar of spaghetti sauce we had in the cupboard.

It was amazing.  Granted Mat executed my idea, but that was probably for the best.  I would have done just fine with it, but he always does better.  🙂

It was all delicious.  Creating new stuff is fun!

School today was good.  I was REALLY tired when I woke up and was very glad to only be running 3.5 miles.  The day wasn’t quite as long as yesterday thank goodness, but tomorrow will be the longest: work, dance production practice until 5:30, then straight to ballet at 6:30.  And Mat has to work til 10.  Ugh.

And I find myself considering Nutcracker?  Am I nuts?

  1. The reason for the extra s (and in fact for the capitalization: Brussels) is because the little cabbages come from Brussels! 🙂
