Senior Exit Interviews

This morning was the first of two mornings in which we host senior exit interviews. The basic idea is that each senior student puts together a senior exit portfolio of their best work from high school. They have to list the standard taught, the purpose of the project, and include a copy of it. This year, each senior had a Google account they used to upload all of their work.

There are usually 3-4 panelists in each room, 2 teachers and 1-2 guests. The guests can be former students, guests of teachers, or community members. After looking over the portfolio, we take turns asking them basic questions about themselves, their future plans, and their portfolio work. Sometimes the students are pretty nervous and other times they’re very confident. Either way, as long as they decent job, they get a good score.

Our group had one student no-show. That’s not good.

One of the best things about today and tomorrow: 36 minute class periods. 🙂 And there was free food afterward which I probably shouldn’t have eaten but did. It was chocolate! And I didn’t finish it, go me!

Breakfast was my usual cottage cheese with granola and coffee with milk/sugar.

I’m on the fence about ballet tonight. Money reasons. Blah.
